About Me

Robert Ellis Knight, formerly known as Robert Eugene Collins, is an actor and singer based in Los Angeles, California. He graduated from California State University, Northridge in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater. Throughout his time in college, he received multiple KCACTF Irene Ryan nominations for his roles as Sweeney in Sweeney Todd, Coalhouse in Ragtime, and Reggie in Satellites. His nominations earned him an invitation to audition for and accept a spot in - New York’s most Broadway integrated actor training program - the Open Jar Institute. There he trained with some of Broadways biggest stars, performers, directors, choreographers, agents and casting directors.

One of his most recent achievements includes winning the title of LA's Next Great Stage Star, a highly competitive musical theater showcase. He is the second male to win the title in the competition’s 12 year running. Robert has since become the voice of Cody’s Dad (Kwame) in the hit kids television show, Cocomelon! His voice can be heard on Netflix, Youtube, and all music streaming platforms.
